FINCA CORTESIN - Hotel

Designed by the architects Roger Torras and Ignacio Sierra, Hotel Cortesín takes its inspiration from traditional Spanish architecture, but with all the advantages and services of a modern and luxurious hotel which caters to only 67 exquisite suites, a 2,200m2 Spa, two restaurants managed by chef Schilo Van Coevorden, and a magnificent golf course, designed by Cabell Robinson, which has been chosen to host the Volvo World Match Play Championship.

The hotel sits on a hill within this 215 hectare estate, with incredible views of the Mediterranean and of the golf course. The architects designed two square Andalusian-inspired buildings, with central courtyard, joined by a principal flight of stairs for guests and connecting gallery. These buildings consist of two floors above ground level and occupy a total surface area of 22,000 square metres for only 67 rooms.

The inside décor has been entrusted to D. Duarte Pinto Coelho. The 67 suites, with surface areas of 60 to 180 square metres, 4 metre high ceilings and bathrooms measuring up to 27 square metres, have been decorated by Ana and Cristina Calderón. The suites enjoy private terrace or garden area and in some cases, swimming pool.

The magnificent gardens, with both a 35 and 50 metre long swimming pool, occupy a surface area of 23,000 square metres. The landscaping is the responsibility of Gerald Huggan.

Dutch Chef Schilo Van Coevorden manages both restaurants at the hotel: “Schilo” and “El Jardín” (“The Garden”) in addition to the Bar at Finca Cortesín. This highly recognised Chef, has more than 20 years experience in fine dining, having worked for some of the best restaurants and hotels worldwide, some of which have been awarded with Michelin stars. Prior to his arrival at Finca Cortesín, Schilo worked for “The College Hotel” and “Blakes” in Amsterdam.

In “Schilo”, our signature restaurant at Finca Cortesín, clients will enjoy innovative cooking with Arabic and Asian influences. “El Jardin” introduces traditional Andalusian and Iberian cooking, using always the best seasonal products that Spain has to offer.

Finca Cortesín Hotel, Golf & Spa is the perfect location for private events, corporate meetings or for providing incentives by means of a luxurious trip. Events can be celebrated at any of one of the 3 halls with a capacity of up to 250 people for gala dinners or 200 for a seated conference. Additionally, 23,000 square metres of garden area are available for any outdoor celebration. Our executive chef, Schilo Van Coevorden, will personally create customised menus for any sort of event.
